Today most of the developed and developing countries are facing disasters of both kinds natural and man-made. The reasons are many. Both natural settings and technological growth are found to be equally responsible for these disasters. Japan and other Asian countries like India, Philippines, Indonesia, etc. are very prone to natural disasters like earthquake, tsunami, Typhoon etc. Human beings in pace of economic growth and technological advancement create these calamities and builds a way to their total extinction from earth. So, it is high time to study the disasters and its long term effects. Disaster studies not only help in studying disasters and its causes but also in studying the social, cultural and economic impact of disasters on populations and future generations and techniques of disaster management.Present book is based on study of March 2011,Japanese Triple Disaster and Disaster management. Japan managed these triple disasters excetionally well with its world's most developed disaster management techniques and represents a lesson for the other countries of world.

Dr.Suchita Tripathi did her Ph.D. from University of Allahabad, Allahabad(U.P.).She taught two years as an Assistant Professor(Ad-hoc) in Department of Anthropology,G.G.V. University,Bilaspur(C.G.). She has language proficiency in Hindi,English and Japanese.She has authored one book and six articles and also reviewed one book.
