Marcuse and Frankfurt school. Antropological perspective

Marcuse's notions about total revolution could not be translated into reality. To employ his ideas fully is not possible, since commonplace ideologies take the path of partial borrowing "convenient" ideas and silencing "inconvenient" ones. Ideological thinking tends to perceive Marcuse as revolutionary more than an intellectual. The direct impact of Marcuse's ideas on cultural and social anthropology is difficult to assess to the full extent, because very few scholars link their approaches directly to his work.
