Marketing strategies in Development Banks (DBN Namibia)

The purpose of the study was to investigate how effective are the banking and investment banks are effective and ways to improve income and investment funds distribution. The research was carried out at in Gobabis with Development Bank of Namibia Clients. Management and customers of Development Bank of Namibia were the respondents. Data was collected using an interview and questionnaires. The study established that marketing strategies are a tool which can be used to create an environment that allows effective income and funds distribution to ensure focus on national goals, stipulated in Vision 2030. The study discovered that offensive marketing strategies are the most effective marketing strategies, in competitive retail banking and less informed population environment which can enable them to achieve theirs and nation's goals. It was recommended that a combination of offensive marketing strategies are the most effective because they create an advantage based on many building blocks instead of just one block.
