Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. Marmara auratella is a moth of the Gracillariidae family. It is known from the United States (Ohio and Maine). The larvae feed on Dahlia species and Rudbeckia laciniata. They mine the stem of their host plant. The mine has the form of a long serpentine mine on the stem. A moth is an insect closely related to the butterfly, both being of the order Lepidoptera. Moths form the majority of this order; there are thought to be 150,000 to 250,000 different species of moth (about ten times the number of species of butterfly), with thousands of species yet to be described.
