CHINUA ACHEBE AND NAGUGI WA are the shining stars of the small galaxy of african writers of fiction. their writings make their output fairly substantial in comparison to their contemporary eminent african novelists they are gifted with extra-ordinary vision of life. In their novels they depict race and cultural conflicts, hunger and degradation, rootlessness, politics, human relationship, sexual perversion as factors working in the form of barriers of communication. the sense of involvement in social life of africa, their keen observation with critical acumen, brought international fame with the publication of their books. Though they have been considerably studied and researched by critics of different orientations, no significant effort so far been made to analyse their works from the standpoints of the sociology of family relationship and politics.

Dr. Honey Sethi is living in India in the state of Haryana with her family. She is M.A. (English), M.Phil (English), B.Ed, M.A. (Education) and Ph.D(English). She has published nine research papers in various journals and three books. She has been working in teaching profession for seven years as a professor in an institution nearby her home town.
