Master of Finance

A Master of Science in Finance is a Master's degree designed to prepare graduates for careers in financial analysis, investment management and corporate finance. The M.S.F. is generally a one or two-year, non-thesis degree, and is often positioned as a professional degree. An alternate degree title is Master of Finance, although the M.Fin is often substantially quantitative, and, in fact, akin to the Master of Quantitative Finance and/ or has a major theory base and is similar to the Master of Financial Economics. "Master in Finance" is sometimes used generically for any master's- level finance degree - in Quantitative Finance, or in Financial Economics, or for the M.S.F.
