The performance of English prepositions by Kenyan secondary school learners is wanting.The Kenyan National Examination Council and the Kenya Institute of Education identified the prepositions as the most difficult part of speech to be mastered by learners.With this in mind,there was a rise in the need to investigate the reasons underlying such difficulties.This book provides an insight into the types of prepositions that are easy and difficult to be conceptualized by learners.Issues of Markedness as a predicator of the preposition difficulties is investigated.The book should help English teachers and stakeholders in Education to come up with the best pedagogy in teaching prepositions in order to attain proper mastery.This is a necessary handbook for those teaching English as a foreign language.
