maternal health should be given an extra edge in our society specially when she lives in a country like pakistan where women are already being deprived of their basic rights. if health care providers donot step forward and intervene in to this matter in time then no wonder in next few years we will be very far from the famous saying that, prevention is better than cure and all we will be left with is treating pregnant women with diseases which will effect their lives and their children's lives in one way or the other.

i am Dr Hassan Ur Rehman, I am currently Senior House Officer in Surgical Ward in Kuwait Teaching Hospital, Peshawar, Pakistan. I did this research when i was in 3rd year of my medical education and at that time my aim was to see awareness among women of our city and the peripheral villages regarding the age related consequences during pregnancy.
