Mathematical Modeling of Centrifugal Pumps

This book consists of four projects, all have been done about the analyzing of pumping system modeling. All modeling have been done under two general strategy of control including constant speed and variable speed control strategies. At the first chapter a model for a single pump is developed and second chapter shows implementation of same model for a pumping systems with pumps in parallel connection in a residential water pumping project. Third and fourth chapters are the practical applications of developed modeling. Chapter three suggests the best solution for energy saving of large scale pumping stations in a water transportation project and chapter four tries to optimize the pump selection for the pumping station by predicting of its behavior for a ten year period. As any reader easily can understand from the book, the most positive impact of this model is to be generally utilized in various projects which has demonstrates mathematical modeling application again.

Farid Khayatzadeh Hassanlouei was born in Tabriz, Iran, 1986. He obtained Mechanical Engineering B.Sc. 2009, Mechatronic Engineering M.Sc. 2011 and attended to PhD course of Mechanical Engineering in the University of Tabriz. He is working as a researcher with focus on intelligent pumping systems and energy management in industrial processes.
