Measurement - Reporting - Verification (MRV) System

The development of the Measurement-Reporting-Verification (MRV) system for climate change response activities in Vietnam comes from the need to meet the international requirements and domestic demands to obtain the climate targets set out in Vietnam's Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs). The study has developed a MRV system, including mitigation, adaptation and support activities, along with a set of policy institutions and web-application tool for operating the system in line with international requirements. It was proposed the draft legal documents necessary for the operation of the MRV system. The processes of updating information and data for the MRV system at all levels (national, sectoral, local) help to effectively respond to climate change and contribute to the implementation, commitments on climate change to the world, creating investment opportunities in the field of climate change and developing the economy in a green and sustainable way. This book is also an essential source for policymakers that can be used to contribute to the MRV's development in Vietnam.
