Amit Bhaduri is a faculty member in the Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering at IIT Kharagpur, where he has taught since 1984, prior to which he was a lecturer at Regional Engineering College, Durgapur (presently, National Institute of Technology, Durgapur). He has earned his B.E. and M. Tech in Metallurgical Engineering from University of Calcutta and IIT Kanpur, respectively. He was awarded with the 'Indranil Award' from the Mining, Geological and Metallurgical Institute of India as well as other awards and prizes for his subject knowledge. He has over 34 years of teaching experience, over the course of which he has taught several subjects. His special focus has been on teaching 'Mechanical Testing of Materials' and 'Mechanical Working of Materials', which he has taught for about 20 years and 10 years respectively at IIT Kharagpur.
