Intergovernmental Relations are nerve systems, life bloods or engine oil of any federal dispensation. They are modes vivid for any federal system and their modus operandi vary from federation to federation. Different factors affect their modes operendi in different federations. As Ethiopia is one of the youngest in the world of federations, the mechanisms of intergovernmental relations in the Ethiopian federation have not been systematically studied and factors shaping the development of the mechanisms of intergovernmental relations are not well identified and explained, this book sets as its objective to shade some light on this important dimension of the Ethiopian federal dispensation,

Haileyesus Taye Chekole (PhD) is currently Assistant Professor of federal Studies at the FDRE Meles Zenawi Leadership Academy, in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. He has done his PhD at the Center for Federal Studies of Addis Ababa University and his MA in Political Science at Martin-Luther University Halle-Wittenberg in Germany.
