Medicinal Plants and Enhancement of Animal Physiology

Echinacea preparations are one of the most widely used over the counter herbal preparations. It is commonly used orally as an immune stimulant to increase resistance to viral, bacterial and fungal infections of the upper respiratory tract and as an anti-inflammatory agent. This book investigates the effect of pre or postnatal Echinacea extract supplementation on the health status through the antioxidant and immune responses.
