Bangladeshbeing a subtropical country is a good repository ofmedicinal plants, many of which are used by thetraditional healers and tribal people for preventionand treatment of various diseases. A thorough andscientific study especially bioassay guided isolationmay result in the discovery of many chemicallyinteresting and biologically active candidates fordrug development.
