Menopause:Effect on Family

Menopause takes place when a woman permanently stops ovulating and menstruating and can no longer conceive a child. It is generally considered to have occurred one year after the last menstrual period and the normal age range for the occurrence of menopause is somewhere between the age of 45 and 55. After menopause, women are at increased risk of certain health problems which include physical, psychological, vasomotor, urogenital, skeletal and sexual problems. These problems have a long lasting effect on the women and her immediate family. This book deals with the ways and means of dealing with the changes taking place in a woman after menopause, its effects and the coping strategies used thereof.

Sheema Mushtaq has done her M.Sc in Human development(Home science)in 2009 with distinction and has also done B.Ed from Kashmir University Presently she is undergoing Ph.D from Kashmir University. She has many publications in her credit in national and international journals.She has also presented papers in various conferences and workshops
