Menstrual Hygiene Management in Tharparkar

Menstruation is a taboo topic to be discussed in public as well as in households in Pakistan. This study aims to explore the key factors on which menstruation is declared a taboo in the country and clearly describes the situation of menstrual hygiene management in Tharparkar a desert that has ties with Rajasthan India and if their cultural practices of managing menstrual hygiene can be efficacious in making policies for dignifying menstruation in Pakistan. This research will highlight some of the important areas that need immediate attention to save the lives of women in Tharparkar and remote areas where there is no awareness of managing menstruation and has suggested policy recommendations that may empower the women of Pakistan in the future.
