Merdeka: Touch of the Past

Merdeka: Touch of the Past is a 2D based platformer game for Windows which enable the players especially student to learn the history of Malaysia fun and enjoyable way. This book will cover the processes of developing the game game from the very beginning all the way from research studies, the methodology used, design and development, and finally, result and analysis using Unity3D. As the time goes by, the history of Malaysia tends to be forgotten each day among Malaysian especially the younger generation. History is one of the important things that needs to be known not only by individuals but as the whole civilization in order to foster a spirit of patriotism. Student were also having a hard time studying the history subject in school because of its long, boring and repeatable content. According to the preliminary study that has been done, majority of the students agree that the used of text book or other printed material are less attractive compare to using technology that consist of colorful images and sound.

Syed Mohd Khaidir es un ex alumno de la Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), Campus Jasin, que vive en Hulu Kelang, Selangor. Su pasión por el diseño visual le inspiró para desarrollar este juego y escribir este libro, que le valió el "Premio al mejor proyecto" por su proyecto de fin de carrera y el premio de oro por I-jaMCSIIX.
