Metabolic syndrome

This publication is devoted to current issues of metabolic syndrome. It presents modern data concerning the classification and diagnosis of homeostasis disorders of lipid and carbohydrate metabolism, as well as pathophysiology of the inflammatory syndrome in metabolic syndrome. Topical problem is the treatment of manifestations of metabolic syndrome and obesity. The book considers modern methods of its treatment. The formulation of the diagnosis of the metabolic syndrome and obesity is discussed. A separate chapter presents materials concerning hypolipidemic therapy in the metabolic syndrome.
