Metacognition is a part of psychology that studies the mind and provides the skills to develop the ability to self-regulate learning processes. That is, metacognition allows human beings to know themselves effectively, which provides the advantage of learning in a practical and lasting way. Therefore, thanks to metacognition, it is possible to give meaning and utility to the acquired knowledge. That is why it is an allied tool to learn English. Nowadays it is very important to learn English for several reasons, such as: greater work, student, cultural and recreational opportunities. It expands the opportunity to learn new cultures at a global level, since in 57 countries it is the original language and these countries are located within the 5 continents. In addition, you can have the opportunity to obtain information of any field that is more updated and complete. A curious fact is that 56% of the Internet sites are edited from English.
