Metal Complexes of Mannich Base

The study of Mannich reaction attracted a great deal of attention to the chemist. Mannich base derivative with bridge N-atom and heterocyclic nucleus have been found to be potent drug and therapeutic application. Such as anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, anti-tumor, anti-convulsant, anti-inflammatory, anti-malarial, anti-biotic, anti-viral, anti-cancer, and anti-leishmanial, Mannich base also used in analgesic, cytotoxic, oxytocic, anti-psychotic, diuretic, centrally active muscle relaxant and tranquilizer. It also employed as an intermediate in industrial chemical synthesis. It exhibit complexation characteristic with many transition metal ions. The Use of the Iso-nicotinic Acid Hydrazides in the Treatment of Tuberculosis. This book deals with the synthesis, characterization of metal complexes using mannich base.
