Metallic Materials and their Applications

The content and organization of this book will enable readers to acquire basic knowledge of metallic materials and even to learn about certain lines of research related to these materials. Moreover, the readers will have an idea on the fields of applications with varied and simple examples. This book is devoted to the presentation of the properties of metals and their industrial applications with practical examples such as the manufacture of metal wires, the surface treatment of metals, the welding of pipelines for the transport of hydrocarbons.

Zakaria Boumerzoug is a Professor at Department of Mechanical Engineering, Biskra University. He has taught at the University of Biskra since 1992 until today, all subjects related to metallurgy (crystallography, phase transformation, mechanical properties, ...) He has supervised 30 PhD students. He has published more than 70 papers.
