Michael Borys (born 1969) is a noted game designer specializing in alternate reality games. He currently works as Interactive Design Director and core member of ARG developer 42 Entertainment. His projects include Why So Serious (for the film The Dark Knight), Year Zero (for the Nine Inch Nails album Year Zero), The Vanishing Point (Microsoft''s Vista Release), Dead Man''s Tale (for the film Pirates of the Caribbean II: Dead Man''s Chest) and Last Call Poker (for Activision''s Game Gun). Borys graduated in 1994 from Wayne State University in Detroit Michigan and moved to Los Angeles California to pursue work in animation and design. From 1996 to 2000 he worked with and led various teams within the Disney Company and helped in the creation of the original Disney s Daily Blast and Disney Online. Michael was among the first handful of people in the world to use Macromedia s Flash animation technology and sat on its advisory board.
