Micro-credit is one the most important programs of NGO's for ensuring socio-economic development that is provided basically for the poor and underprivileged people of the country. In Bangladesh 38.05 percent of the total population live below the poverty line with 80 percent in the rural areas, and poverty is not only the acute social problem of our country but it is an acute economic problem also. So, to ensure socio-economic development poverty must be eradicated from our society and that's the main purpose of micro-credit institutions. This book, therefore, a research work along with supportive literature to get the better understanding on the role of micro credit in socio-economic development in Bangladesh.
