Microfinance involves the provision of financial services such as saving loans and insurance to poor people living in both and rural setting who are unable to obtain such services from the formal financial sector.In India, NABARD found that self help groups linkage model appropriate in the Indian conditions where (India has) in place a vast network of rural bank branches. The objective of the study is to evaluate the performance of self help groups and its impact on their lives. Considering the nature of the topic, data collected from primary sources. For which the researcher designed the questionnaire with questions on social status and financial status of member of self help group. The questionnaire was formulated and pre- tested with 20 members and an improved questionnaire was administrated in person.The statistical techniques used are ANOVA and Grager Causality.
