Micro-landfills in the City of Concordia. Regulations and Applications

The present research work entitled "the complexity of micro dumps in the city of Concordia, the regulatory issue and its applications", was carried out in order to fulfil the academic obligations necessary to obtain the degree of Bachelor of Political Science at the National University of Rosario (UNR). The choice of topic took into account the complex reality experienced by the residents of the city of Concordia with the presence of different types of micro dumps in the urban area of the city, an issue that crosses different aspects, such as waste management, environmental education of citizens and the issue of regulations, their applications, controls, sanctions, etc.. The latter is what will be emphasised, the characteristics of the regulations, their weaknesses and possible inconsistencies, in terms of their design and application. We may well call this the institutional normative issue of micro dumps in the city: is their formation due to the absence/lack of norms, or to structural weaknesses of the executive power to apply them, questions like these will guide the research.
