Details

This book will focus on microbial services as an excellent strategy to face the current challenge of global agriculture, collecting the principal studies that used microbial services for improving cereal production, such as rice, beans, maize and wheat. This book will address studies and discussion about the bacterial world inside the plant; phytostimulator microorganisms; promotion of maize growth for biocontrol; filamentous fungi as plant growth promoters; mycorrhiza; sustainable agriculture effects on the microbiome; humic substances in combination with plant growth-promoting bacteria in rice; and the changes in plant metabolome induced by microorganisms under environmental stress.

This book addresses the use of plant-beneficial rhizospheric microorganisms to improve plant growth Microbial services can help with issues related to soil degradation, loss of fertility and pollution Microbial services in agriculture support a sustainable food production

Autorentext

Everlon Cid Rigobelo is an Agronomist with Master Science and PhD in Agriculture Microbiology. His research interested are about plant growth-promoting microorganisms in different crops and he has 45 scientific articles in this field, including the effect of several microorganisms, such as Bacillus, Aspergillus, and Azospirillum. Additionally, he has studied the effect of the application of these microorganisms on the soil microbiota, microbiome and the effect of the inoculant concentration on endofitism and on plant growth-promoting.
