Midwife Led Psychosocial Risk Assessment

Midwife Led Psychosocial Risk Assessment describes a clinical model developed to assist primary care health workers to identify women with symptoms, or at-risk of developing mental illness during routine antenatal and postnatal visits.The objective is to promote early interventions for identified women, infants and families that reduce mental health related morbidity and mortality. The model can be applied by a range of health professionals in Medical, Nursing, Social Work, Psychology, and Primary Health Care settings.
