Migration and Gender: The Arts of Homely Belonging

While migration has been viewed as a window that has been promoting brain drain in the past decade in developing countries, this book, however, highlights the blind spots often concealed in most migration research work. This study unveils the patrimonial benefits of migration and the positive gender dynamics inherent in migration. Migration is viewed not only as a source of livelihood but as an enhancer of social mobility.
