Mihai Iv ncescu (22 March 1942 2 January 2004) was a former Romanian football player. He played as a right back for two teams in Bra ov, Steagul Ro u Bra ov and Tractorul Bra ov. He was a part of Romanian's 1970 FIFA World Cup Squad, but he did not play in the tournament. He died in Bra ov in 2004. In the sport of association football, each of the eleven players on a team is assigned to a particular position on the field of play. A team is made up of one goalkeeper and ten outfield players who fill various defensive, midfield and attacking positions depending on the formation deployed. These positions describe both the player's main role and their area of operation on the pitch. As the game has evolved, tactics and team formations have changed, and the names of the positions and the duties involved have evolved as well.
