Minimizing Defective Products of Ethiopian Manufacturing Industries

Defective products are mostly delivered from production process. These products must be rejected or reworked. But the worst thing is when the rejected amount is excessive; as it causes unproductiveness, drop off the market competency due to higher customers dissatisfaction. There are many causes for the occurrence of defective products. Thus to avoid any further spoilage corrective measures should be taken. The main theme of this book is to increase market competency and productivity as well as to enhance profit by minimizing defective products in Ethiopian manufacturing industries. In the investigation, core quality related problems and the causes of excessive defects in Gafat Engineering Factory , which is taken as a case for the study, have been found out. And ultimately, new manufacturing practices are recommended as a means for alleviating the problem. It is also examined its impact on the profit of manufacturing industries by producing quality products.
