The Mitsubishi Concept-cX is a concept car developed by Japanese automaker Mitsubishi Motors, and first exhibited at the 62nd Frankfurt Motor Show in July 2007. It was also exhibited at the 40th Tokyo Motor Show in September the same year. Its design forms the basis of the forthcoming Mitsubishi RVR, to be introduced in 2010. Designed for the growing mini crossover SUV market niche, promotional material for the car concentrated heavily on its environmentally friendly attributes. It is powered by a 4N13 1.8 litre four cylinder turbodiesel engine, mated to the company's new SST twin-clutch transmission, and meets the Euro V 2009 European emission standards. Much of the interior trim uses Mitsubishi's Green Plastic, a plant-based resin material not derived from petroleum as traditional plastics are.
