The book is concerned with investigation and characterisation of mixed mode fracture in bonded joints and will consider both quasi-static and cyclic loading. In order to achieve, a wide range of experimental conditions, a suitable test geometry has been developed, it will be used to investigate crack growth in joints based on a commercial FM73 adhesive. The experimental results will be analysed using appropriate closed-form and finite-element-based analysis. This work should then lead to constitutive relations that describe the adhesive behaviour under mixed mode conditions.

Dr.Hafiz Ali has worked in different projects in the field of Mechanical Engineering. He is the author of several articles published in international journals & conferences.Hafiz is currently working on an EU funded consortium involving developing nonlinear ultrasonic techniques to allow the determination of bond strength in composite structures
