Mobile phone use and trip patterns of residents of Lagos metropolis

This work contains the analysis of the effects of Mobile phone use on influencing the trip patterns characteristics among the urban resident in Nigeria. It analyses the relevant theories and concepts in telecommunication and transport. This work supports the earlier submission that that to a very great extent rather than substituting for mobility, the use of mobile phone has to a very great extent has indeed substituted for trips but has also contributed to complimenting the need for more trips among the urban resident of Lagoa metropolis.
