This first edition on 'Modeling and Vibration Simulation of Synchronous Generator using APDL in ANSYS' is a detailed analysis using standard finite element software with analytical methods. This book is an outcome of the dissertation as part of a master's program in design engineering. The contents of this book may steer an advanced course after prerequisites such as turbo-generators, rotor dynamics, finite element method, and solid mechanics. Although there are analytical formulations to determine the dynamic analysis of rotational machinery, but in the present book, the dynamic behavior is studied using ANSYS® APDL and then a script based on analytical formulation has been written to simulate the dynamic response at various locations of the rotor.
