  • There are a limited number of research works dealing with different steel types, especially the ultra-important type AISI D2 die steel for cold works in the area of addition mixing powders (PMEDM)and related modeling works. - It was unable to find any research works related to study the effect of adding graphite powder on EDM or PMEDM machining for any type of steels. - It was unable to find any research works related to study and examine the effect of adding any kind of mixed powders on the fatigue life of the steel workpieces and of any kinds of the engineering ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The present work was used the graphite as well as the copper electrodes, the shot blast peening, the graphite and silicon carbide mixed powders to kerosene dielectric for EDM and PMEDM machining of high carbon high chromium AISI D2 die steel for built and predict the EDM output performance characteristics, including the surface residual stresses, the material removal rate (MRR), the tool wear ratio (TWR) and the work piece surface roughness (SR),the recast white layers formation,the total heat flux generated and fatigue lives.
