Modern Azerbaijani Prose in the English Translation

Translation is one of many kinds of humans' activity. It is of great importance nowadays. Modern world is a world of broad and developed means of communication and so people meet each other and they are people from different countries and so they have some problems in communication. And they are translators who help people to overcome those problems. It is not enough simply to replace foreign words with the words of language of translation, it is important to save the very idea of the expression. In other words, a translation is something more than just simple finding out of equivalents in the language of translation. Actually, it is not that important what the sender of a message said, it is more important what a receiver will hear. Thus, the book embraces modern Azerbaijani prose in the English translation based on two short stories "Heart is Strange" & "Last Night of the Past Year" translated by Zeydulla Agayev. The primary goal of the research is to identify and define translation problems and to indicate all the factors that have to be taken into account in solving the problems.
