Researchers worldwide are interested in the area of biopolymer development.There are limitless numbers of areas where modified polymers may find use. In current scenario, environmental responsibility should be key for the development of sustained and controlled drug delivery system. Biodegradability added positiveness towards their use in pharmaceutical drug delivery. Biodegradable modified polymers may be pH or thermal sensitive hence deliver drug entities in to target site. Studies show strong support that biodegradable polymers have ability to modulate cell signaling, cellular attachment, migration, proliferation and differentiation. Manuscript reveals the fact that various commercial patents have been granted for the use of modified polymer. Researches are going on but great space for research is still now vacant. To maintain pollution free environment manufacturing business should be make clear vision towards use of modified biodegradable polymers in pharmaceutical, medical, cosmetic and mine industry.
