Monitoring of Local Public Services by Women Led Grassroots Agencies

This work reflects on the potential of informal political spaces related to transparency and accountability of local public services in the endeavours of enhancing women's leadership and political empowerment. Based on a field work, this work highlights the processes of monitoring local public services by women-led grassroots agencies as well as the underlying processes of enhancing leadership and political empowerment of grassroots women resulted from involving them in informal political spaces and processes like women-led citizen monitoring.
