Mankind knows textiles by generations. On a broad outlook it appears that textiles have no application other than apparel purposes. But as a matter of fact, there are non-apparel uses of textiles such as technical applications. It offers several advantages in their functional aspect for improving health and safety, cost effectiveness and durability and strength of textile material. They are defined as textile materials and products made principally for their functional properties and technical performance and rather than their aesthetic or decorative characteristics. Global population growth and rising living standards have caused an increase in textile wastes. A World Bank study has predicted a 70% global increase in textile hard waste by 2025, which means that the expected waste volume will rise from today's 1.3 billion tone's to 2.2 billion tones' per year. Thus a rapid and simple method for treating with textile waste is badly needed. This book will cover this point.
