Morphological and Molecular Identification of Collected Brachionus spp

The extracted DNA from cultured Brachionus isolates that have two species were Brachionus calyciflorus and Brachionus plicatilis subjected to RAPD-PCR .The RAPD reactions were performed with only five isolates of Brachionus calyciflorus and two isolates of Brachionus plicatilis having identical sequences of 16S rDNA. However, the values of bands distance appear due to Photocapt Software (version"A" DNA Analysis Software). Finaly six Brachionus species (B. patulus , B.caudatus , B. ibericus , B. forficula , B.manjavacas, and B.urceus) isolated from Shatt AL-Arab River were recorded which are unidentified in previous studies in Basrah province and Iraq and also two global isolates of Brachionus calyciflorus and Brachionus plicatilis in the (NCBI of USA, ENA of Europe and DDBJ of Japan).
