MOSES AND LEADERSHIP STRUGGLES IN THE EXODUS NARRATIVE
Details
It is all about leadership people would say when a community or organization fails or succeeds. The reality is that most observers make their assessment on the basis of the end result without taking into account the ups and downs that any leader faces in the course of his/her exercise. This book examines the life of Moses, a prominent biblical figure known as a revolutionary, a liberator and a lawgiver, who experienced at a time both rejection and veneration from his followers. It draws some parallels between current situations and the crossing of the desert of Moses and his people as the major cause of murmuring and revolts among the followers. Contemporary leaders whose capacity to deal with crisis is being challenged by the economic recession, environmental threat, natural calamities and urban explosion will find useful principles developed in this book. It is inspirational to leaders in Africa and other developing countries who live with political unrest, abject poverty and diseases such as HIV and AIDS and Cholera. devices of good leadership such as service, legitimacy, teamwork and succession.
