Motivation and Foreign Language Achievement

Do more motivated students become better English learners? Are there different types of motivation? If so, which types of motivation work better for a more successful learning of English? In this book, the answers to such questions are sought through a study conducted in a military setting at the Turkish Military Academy. The findings of any study on motivation could be quite intricate; so are the findings of the present study.

Graduated from the Bosphorus University, Istanbul as an English Teacher in 1994. Worked as an English teacher in Kuleli Military High School and the Turkish Military Academy for 17 years. Currently, writing his doctorate dissertation in Hacettepe University, Ankara in EFL.
