MRI and cerebral meningiomas

Determining the grade or histological subtype of a meningioma determines its management and prognosis. Cerebral MRI, using various conventional and multimodal sequences, is currently the examination of choice for predicting meningioma grade.In this work, we report on the different MRI characteristics of cerebral meningiomas, based on data from the literature. We concluded that the various multimodal MRI parameters, notably diffusion and spectroscopy, were identified through our work as strong diagnostic predictors of the histological grade of cerebral meningiomas.
