mSCTP and CHORD Based Seamless Mobility Over Wireless IP Networks
Details
This work propose a decentralized mobility framework based on the multihoming feature of stream control transmission protocol (SCTP) and decentralized property of distributed hash table CHORD. Mobility feature in SCTP provides the necessary handover management, while the efficient key-value of CHORD facilitates the seamless mobility through efficient location management. Besides technical advantages, end users will gain added functionalities and flexibility from the proposed mobility framework.

Waqas Ahmed Imtiaz was born in Peshawar, Pakistan. He received his B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from University of Engineering and Technology Peshawar in 2007. He received his M.Sc. from BTH, Sweden in 2010. He is currently working towards his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering. His research interests include, optical comm. and Seamless Mobility.
