Muga and Eri: The Silk from Nature

Muga is cultivated in the Brahmaputra Valley of Assam. The precious, glittering,golden yellow Muga silk is simply unparalleled to any silk of the world for its luxurious look and wonderful comforts. It is exclusive and endemic to the North Eastern Region of India. Eri culture is also the most predominant in Assam which is gaining popularity day by day. The creamy white silk produced by the caterpillar is warm, strong, durable and resistant to Sunlight, Acid and Alkalis. Its fabrics become bright and glossy after every wash.
