Details
This book reinforces the latest thinking by Project Management Professionals who are of the view that mere application of good- practices diligently, for Projects management is not sufficient to determine project successes. These practices are for avoiding projects failures. Despite their diligent application, the professionals feel that some other elements over and above these good practices are needed for ensuring enhanced project successes. This study reveals that these some other elements , in Chinese context of large projects managements, are none other than the three socio cultural factors, which are casting their influence in their large projects management s success outcomes. They are Guanxi (Personal Connection), Mianzhi (Face) and Minzhu de jing mi jie he (Ethnographic Bonding). These factors help, avoiding the time and cost over runs and ensuring enhanced stake holders satisfaction on the projects performance outcomes.
