Multiple Decrements in the Bolgatanga Municipality of Ghana

Multiple decrement tables currently used in the country are generally obtained outside. For this reason, such tables will not give us adequate and reliable results in the Bolgatanga municipality and the country at large. The decrement model used in this book will also serve as a guide to other regions in the country and Africa as a whole. This book elaborates on the multiple decrements in the public health sector of the Bolgatanga municipality in Ghana due to cardiovascular disease, accident, cancer and any other causes. To achieve this task, the municipality was divided into two sectors namely north and east and south and west zones respectively. From the analysis of data using the decrement model and the Scientific packages for the social sciences (SPSS) software, it was realized that other causes recorded a higher mortality rate, followed by cardiovascular and accident and the least mortality rate being cancer. It was observed that, the age group 20-49 recorded the highest morality rate in the municipality. This book is useful to all categories of people especially to students at all levels, health services and personnel s and the insurance and business companies among others.
