Museum - a place in the focus of children and adults

This book is a manual for museum educators and all others interested in museum issues. It brings combination of theoretical and practical texts in the field of museum education. Some thoughts are given of what is a museum today, about the role of museum education in today's consumer society, why the museum event "Night of Museums" is a great success among cultural events, about importance of the museum PR, museum logo, and most important - what museum visitors think about all of this? These are just some of the problems this book is considering, complemented by examples of good practice from the museum in which the author works. Museum topics are observed from theoretical and practical discourse based on many years of author s experience in practical work with visitors of various age groups, in publishing articles and museum publications for the general public, as well as on many years of training at professional workshops, seminars, conferences and meetings. In addition, there are some ideas and guidelines for creative and educational museum workshops with practical advices on easy-made educative things to do at the museum workshops usable also as a part of the museum marketing.
