Muslim Women Organization: Promoter of Peace and Community Development

The book deals with the Muslim Women Organizations promoting peace and community development works in Lanao Del Sur. This thesis works is divided into four parts. In the first part, brief description of Lanao Del Sur is described according to geographical location, brief history, population growth, and ethnic groupings. In the second part, socio-economic and peace and order situation in Lanao Del Sur are explained. In the third part, profiles of Muslim Women Organizations are given details. In the last part, three Muslim Women Organizations are chosen as case studies which determined their orientation and development practices in Lanao Del Sur.

Prof. Theresa Mae Eroy is an alumni of University of the Philippines - Diliman (MA in Islamic Studies) and Mindanao State University Iligan Institute of Technology (BA in History). Her research interests deals on women, peace studies, and socio - cultural history of Asia. Currently, she is an associate professor in The University of Mindanao.
