Nanobiotechnology

Nanobiotechnology is a multidisciplinary field that covers a vast and diverse array of technologies coming from engineering, physics, chemistry, and biology. It is the combination of these fields that has led to the birth of a new generation of materials and methods of making them. The scope of applications is enormous and every day we discover new areas of our daily lives where they can find use. Nanobiotechnology has a broad field of appeal, from organ-on-chip technologies to nanobiosensors, from nanodiagnostics to advanced characterisation and imaging tools, from intelligent drug delivery to artificial bioconstructs, and from functional nanostructured surfaces to smart materials and nanofluidics. Dr.S.Sangeetha werkt als assistent-professor in de postdoctorale en onderzoeksafdeling van Zoology, Pachaiyappa's College, Chennai. Ze verdiende haar begerige doctoraat in de zoölogie. Ze is een Ph.D. onderzoeksgids aan de Universiteit van Madras. Ze heeft met succes een project afgerond in het kader van de Universitaire Subsidiecommissie.
